Perspective: Comparison of end-of-life scenarios of municipal solid waste from viewpoint of life cycle assessment

Municipal solid waste management systems use several techniques for municipal at the end-of-life stage. However, to take major differences identify good practices and optimal actions, more complex comparisons need be discussed. This perspective article discusses advances future directions of given specific research area from viewpoint author with review professional literature presentation other authors’ work. work assesses compares environmental impacts two scenarios (landfilling conventional incineration) in European Union including practical life cycle assessment. To find answers, eight main impact categories, emissions, primary energies were analyzed using GaBi 8.0 software. Based on results, it can concluded that case incineration, emissions electricity power credit are higher. These results used compare treatment processes lower impacts, perform further these processes.
